Iraq
Over four years ago, President Bush plunged our military into Iraq without any credible plan to win the peace. With the support of Republican members of Congress, the President has pursued policies in Iraq that have failed this nation time and time again. Many of those same Republican members continue to follow the President’s lead and advocate for our continued involvement in Iraq’s escalating civil war. I disagree with the President and his Republican supporters and believe it is time for a new direction.

The United States and Israel
John Adler strongly supports the historic relationship between the United States and Israel. He firmly believes that military aid to Israel is in the best interests of both the United States and of Israel. He will continue to support military aid to Israel at current and historic levels.
Senator Adler recognizes that Israel and the United States have some common enemies. It is in the strategic interest of our nation to work closely with Israel in curbing threats from those enemies. Often, those enemies are extremists and terrorists who present great danger to our two nations. It benefits both countries to work together to increase protection from those threats.

Immigration
America is a country of immigrants with a proud and rich history. Unfortunately, our immigration system is broken and Washington hasn't done anything to fix it. It is critical to our country's safety and security that we seal the borders and ensure all migration is done so legally. I do not support amnesty nor do I support giving benefits that hardworking American citizens receive to illegal immigrants. I believe we need a president and a Congress who are willing to fight for immigration reform and change the status quo.

Energy
With gas prices soaring to unimaginable heights, Washington is obligated to take immediate action to protect the American people. It is simply unacceptable to stand by as this crisis gets worse by the day. John knows that we must take action NOW. We must implement an energy plan that will drastically reduce our dependence on foreign oil, bring down the price of gas and create new jobs and businesses.

Net Neutrality
Currently, most residents in New Jersey's 3rd Congressional district have access to only one or two Internet Broadband Providers. This relative lack of choice raises the possibility that Broadband Providers can slap a toll on content (what gets sent on the Net) and service (how fast.) This would lead to a multi-tiered Network where some Websites enjoy premium access speeds to their customers. Websites that are unwilling or unable to pay the toll would be relegated to the proverbial "slow lane."
